Membership FAQs
It’s easy to join! Simply make your annual contribution of $1,100 (Silver Level) or $1,350 (Gold Level) to become a member and receive your vote in our annual grant process. To explore all the details, including payment options, visit our Membership page — it’s all there to help you get started.
Absolutely! Our model is designed to be flexible because we understand life is busy. You can choose how involved you’d like to be — from simply joining and casting your vote to diving into a committee or hosting a local event when it fits your schedule. We’re happy to welcome you at any level of participation.
We like to say our members always give a little extra — it’s in our nature! Silver Membership ($1,100) includes a small $100 contribution to help cover operational expenses, while Gold Membership ($1,350) includes $350 toward those same needs. Your full $1,000 donation always goes directly to our collective grant that supports a local nonprofit. The additional support helps us cover essentials like our website, event costs, and communication platforms.
Yes! Many employers love supporting community involvement, and we’re happy to welcome company-sponsored memberships.
Each membership covers one giving year and includes one vote in that year’s grant cycle.
Yes! Impact100 Long Island is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your donation is generally tax-deductible in the year it’s made, and you’ll receive a formal acknowledgment for your records. Of course, we always recommend checking with your tax advisor to confirm the details for your situation.
We love generosity, but each member gets one vote per giving year. That said, you can prepay future memberships or “angel” another member by sponsoring her membership at the $1,100 level — a truly meaningful way to grow our community.
Yes, we do! Employing a company’s matching gift program is a wonderful way to double your impact, and we’re grateful to accept those contributions.
At this time, we accept full membership payments only. You can join anytime during the grant cycle, but to vote, your full payment ($1,100 or $1,350) must be received by December 31. If you’d like to support us below the membership level, we warmly welcome “Friends of Impact” contributions that help with our administrative costs.
That’s wonderful — there are many ways to get involved! We truly appreciate our “Sponsors and Friends of Impact100,” including individuals, foundations, and corporations who give monetary or in-kind donations. These gifts help us run our programs and events. Offering your time and expertise as a volunteer is also greatly valued.
We understand, and we don’t want finances to be a barrier to participation. Every member contributes the same $1,000 toward the grant to keep voting equal, but we do have limited sponsorships available. Please reach out — we’d be happy to share what support options might be available.
No, we don’t. Impact100 Long Island is proudly independent with its own 501(c)(3) designation and local bylaws. That means 100% of your $1,000 contribution goes right back into our Long Island community through our collective grantmaking.
